Idea: Digital Neighborhood Community

I moved to the Heights in February 2020. Part of the reason was I found an online Goodyear Heights community Facebook. In our fast-paced society, finding community, even if it is digital, helps one feel like they belong.

After gaining traction with a feel for the neighborhood and its needs, I started doing little community projects. At the same time, the community Facebook group I relied heavily on to get the word out about events and goings on was abruptly closed and archived. My means of communicating digitally with the neighborhood was essentially cut off.

Promoting club events, block parties, community events and other news in a neighborhood bigger than a lot of Ohio cities can be tough. Most neighbors abhor social media. A neighborhood of nearly 4 square miles and over 18K+ residents is difficult to canvas on foot.

GoodyearHeights.org was born to address this lack of communication and to reach out to the thousands of people who love the Heights and call the Heights home. Love the Heights is all about lifting others up, so if you have a business, event, or other thing you would like to promote, please submit it through our contact us page (a Google Form will open up) to be included on GoodyearHeights.org.

❤️ the Heights
